Omnibus (multi-themes) survey

When is this method appropriate?

Some online-surveys are often “profitable” if there are more than 4 to 5 questions. The fixed costs for programming the questionnaire and recruiting survey-attendees are relatively high referred to the total costs.

In this case multi-themes surveys (so-called Omnibus surveys) are the key because hereby questions considering different topics and different companies are or can be bundled. So attendance is possible at already one question – uncomplicated and fast!

In what project phase applicable?

Omnibus surveys are applicable in all phases of the product life cycle but development-accompanying, too. E. g. requirements and expectations of particular target-groups can be surveyed for current topics or particular slogans or terms could be tested.

What is the procedure of this method?

IWithin the eResult Omnibus we interview about 600 web users about different topics every month. The interviewed people represent the German internet users. The base is the members of our online-access-panel. The formation of a sample takes place by a quotas concept.

You can send us your questions up to the 21 of each month. We have a look at your questions in advance and give you some suggestions how to optimise the formulation of the questions and the given answers. Afterwards we draft an online survey, ascertain the data and create a result report with the results (usually made in PowerPoint).

Strengths of this method

  • Questions about different topics and different companies are bundled in one survey. Thus small surveys or questions can be cheaply realised.
  • The attendance is possible at already one question – uncomplicated and fast!
  • Representative and reliable data!

What about the sample size?

We interview 600 web users, who represent the German internet user, every month.

How much time takes the implementation?

The ascertainment takes place in the last week of the month so that the results are available in the beginning of the following month.

What input do you have to provide?

You just have to send us your questions to the 21 of a month for example via email or as a word document file. We would like to support you with the formulation and optimisation of your questions. Thereby we draw on our comprehensive project experience in fields of online surveys.

Expenses

For every finished question we charge 390,- EUR (net). A maximum of 4 questions are possible within this ascertainment/multi-themes survey. For a survey with more than 4 questions we implement a separate survey with an individual concept and offer (look onsite survey, panel survey)

What do you receive from us?

  • Recommendation for the formulation of questions and answers
  • Programming an online questionnaire (incl. integration of pictures, audio and video files)
  • Implementation of the survey and providing the data in terms of a result report in PowerPoint (univariated data analysis)

Optional services:

  • Bi- and multivariate data analysis (for instance group differences)
  • Tabular preparation of the results
  • Interpretative result report (incl. recommendation) and presentation of the results in your premises
